Transformation Project Manager (f/m/d)

About the role

As a Transformation Project Manager within the Switchgear PMO, you will turn strategic objectives into concrete operational actions and drive measurable performance improvements across manufacturing sites. You will lead selected initiatives from problem definition through sustainable deployment, working closely with plants and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage transformation initiatives and provide end‑to‑end leadership for selected projects.
• Translate strategic goals into operational actions across core processes and manufacturing locations.
• Develop and refine PMO structures, governance frameworks, and steering mechanisms.
• Track progress, pace projects, and handle escalations to ensure targets are met.
• Identify improvement opportunities on site and collaborate with local and central teams to implement them.
• Define KPIs, ownership models, and accountability frameworks to embed sustainable impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• Several years of project‑management or operations experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of switchgear products, processes and manufacturing operations.
• Proven track record of leading task forces and delivering measurable operational improvements.
• Experience working with factory teams and implementing on‑site improvement initiatives.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with a strong execution mindset.
