AI Engineering Intern – Manufacturing & Logistics

About the role

As an AI Engineering Intern you will help shape an innovative AI integration layer for Bosch's manufacturing and logistics platform. You will work on connecting systems via the Model Context Protocol and create AI prototypes using Bosch's AI/GenAI tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI solutions and prototypes for manufacturing and logistics use cases.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to capture requirements and integrate AI into existing workflows.
• Define guidelines and best practices for AI development, documentation, deployment, and operation.
• Document AI use cases, architectures, and insights gained during development.
• Present AI initiatives, prototypes, and results to technical teams and the broader organization.

Required profile

• Enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science or a related field.
• Strong interest in generative AI, LLMs, AI agents and emerging AI technologies.
• Analytical mindset, clear communication, proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
• Fluent in English and good knowledge of German.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Experience with APIs and software integration.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of generative AI, large language models (LLMs) and AI agents.
