Applications Engineering Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Applications Engineering Specialist to act as the technical bridge between our European customers and the engineering team in China. Based in Germany with a hybrid remote setup, you will ensure that customer requirements are accurately captured, translated, and turned into effective automation solutions for the automotive wire‑harness industry.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams.
• Collect, analyse, and clearly interpret customer technical requirements.
• Translate customer needs into structured inputs for the China‑based engineering team.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop technical solutions and proposals.
• Provide timely, accurate feedback and solutions to customers.
• Support sales activities with technical expertise during meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
• Conduct on‑site customer visits, technical discussions, and project follow‑ups.
• Ensure alignment between customer expectations and delivered solutions.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders in China and North America, including occasional evening work (20:00‑23:00 CET).

Required profile

• Native Chinese speaker with fluent English communication skills.
• German language skills are a strong plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven ability to understand and communicate technical concepts effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self‑driven, structured, and able to work independently.
