Product Design Engineer – German Fluency (m/f/d)

About the role

Molex Connectivity GmbH is seeking a motivated Product Design Engineer with fluent German to join its High Voltage Connector team in Walldorf. You will apply solid engineering fundamentals and advanced design tools to develop high‑performance, reliable products from concept through high‑volume production.

Key responsibilities

• Support concept development ensuring manufacturability, cost‑effectiveness, and compliance with customer requirements.
• Perform DFMEA, FEA, tolerance analysis, and other analytical studies under senior guidance.
• Create and maintain 3‑D models and detailed drawings using GD&T, selecting appropriate datums, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Document project scope, feasibility, and engineering work plans.
• Develop test plans (DVP&R), execute statistical analysis, DOE, hypothesis testing, and capability studies.
• Lead root‑cause investigations using structured methods such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone diagrams.
• Select suitable materials for plastic injection‑molded and metal‑stamped components.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in product design and development workflows.
• Strong understanding of CAD/3‑D modelling, plastic and injection‑molding processes.
• Proficiency in analytical techniques (FEA, tolerance stacks, DFMEA) within product development.
• Fluent German language skills.
