Assistant Buyer – Product Development Support

About the role

As an Assistant Buyer you will support Westwing’s furniture category, helping to drive product development and manage internal production matters. Based in Munich, the role is focused on quality specifications, sample follow‑ups and purchase order administration for a one‑year fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the category buyer with daily operational tasks and coordinate with Creative and Quality teams.
• Own the product development cycle by managing samples, raising and supervising purchase orders.
• Handle warehouse, quality and customer‑service queries.
• Serve as the primary contact for Asian and European business partners.
• Utilise AI and automation tools to streamline sample follow‑ups and data maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• Previous internship or entry‑level experience in buying or sourcing is a plus.
• Proactive, structured, goal‑oriented with a strong hands‑on mentality.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus.
