Building Regulations & Permitting Specialist

About the role

Proxima Fusion is seeking a Building Regulations & Permitting Specialist to lead the permitting strategy for its Alpha and Stellaris facilities. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure that regulatory requirements are integrated early in design and planning.

Key responsibilities

• Own the permitting strategy and execution for the Alpha facility across all relevant sites.
• Define regulatory pathways, manage relationships with planning authorities, and embed permitting timelines into the Integrated Master Schedule.
• Lead building regulations and planning approval processes for Garching and Gundremmingen, handling potential site‑change scenarios without loss of momentum.
• Coordinate with the Head of Siting & Infrastructure and the Head of Licensing & Regulation to align construction permits with nuclear and radiation licensing requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in building regulations, permitting, or related regulatory fields.
• Strong understanding of construction permitting processes in Germany or comparable jurisdictions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, legal, and project‑management teams.
