Business Development Manager – Commercial Growth

About the role

Westwing is looking for a Business Development Manager – Commercial Growth to drive strategic projects and unlock new revenue streams. Based in Munich, you will work closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams to design, execute and roll out initiatives that boost commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end strategic projects such as international expansion within the Commercial area.
• Analyse complex data sets to produce business‑critical insights that guide executive decisions.
• Design and automate planning tools and retail campaign processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Monitor market trends and evaluate growth levers like sales incentives, assembly services and gift‑card programs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure insights are actionable and impactful.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in management consulting, business development or corporate strategy, preferably in e‑commerce or digital environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with a proven ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Hands‑on project management experience, capable of balancing competing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative, execution‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel
• SQL (or similar query language)
• Experience with BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
