Chemistry & Python Expert – Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a chemistry specialist with strong Python skills to create and validate computational chemistry problems for AI training projects. This is a freelance, project‑based position offering flexible remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational chemistry problems that mimic real research workflows.
• Create Python‑based tasks using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, and domain‑specific chemistry packages.
• Ensure problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes.
• Develop challenges that require non‑trivial reasoning in physical, quantum, and molecular modeling.
• Base tasks on actual research challenges or practical chemistry applications.
• Verify solutions with Python scripts and standard computational chemistry methods.
• Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience (research, applied work, or teaching).
• Strong written English proficiency (C1+).

Required skills

• Python programming.
• NumPy, SciPy, Pandas.
• Computational chemistry libraries (e.g., RDKit, Open Babel).
• Familiarity with numerical methods in chemistry.
• Basic knowledge of MATLAB, R, C, SQL (optional but relevant).
