Community Outreach & Engagement Manager (Germany)

About the role

The Community Outreach & Engagement Manager will develop and maintain reliable relationships with local communities across designated therapeutic areas in Germany. The role focuses on implementing community‑oriented projects, supporting patient education, reducing barriers to clinical trial access, and contributing to the emerging Diversity in Clinical Trials (DICT) capability in the German market.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to country‑level community awareness, outreach and engagement strategies tailored to local needs.
• Collaborate with DICT leadership, Clinical Study Units, local government, public affairs and external vendors to understand the healthcare ecosystem.
• Co‑develop community engagement activities and events with cross‑functional teams.
• Monitor country‑specific metrics and identify culturally appropriate engagement tactics.
• Support digital and media strategy development for community outreach.
• Identify and engage trusted messengers, local ambassadors and potential investigators.
• Facilitate community feedback through focus groups and surveys.
• Plan and coordinate virtual and in‑person events, handling venue research, logistics and attendance outreach.
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with trial sites and investigators to support patient‑site‑company interactions.

Required profile

• Experience developing community relationships within the healthcare sector.
• Understanding of German compliance, code of practice and integrity policy related to patient engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
