Customer Engineer – ESMC Long-Term Assignment

About the role

The Customer Engineer (Field Service Engineer) acts as the primary liaison with semiconductor customers, installing, maintaining and upgrading cutting‑edge equipment. The role combines hands‑on technical work with digital analytics for troubleshooting and requires close coordination with customers to ensure smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic and gas systems for TSMC F24 equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues, order and replace parts, and resolve FDC mismatches following documented procedures.
• Participate in daily pass‑down meetings, manage service cases and escalations based on CE KPIs.
• Support parts management, including ordering, tracking and coordination with technicians.
• Collaborate with Germany CE teams and local PSE teams, and coach junior engineers.
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces in accordance with TSMC 6S standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (hardware‑related preferred).
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Basic mechanical aptitude in pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum or thermodynamics.
• TOEIC score of 550 +; 2 + years TSMC fab experience preferred.
