Customer Engineer – ESMC Long-Term Assignment

About the role

The Customer Engineer will act as the primary liaison with customers, installing, maintaining, and upgrading cutting‑edge semiconductor equipment. The role involves troubleshooting hardware issues, managing parts, and supporting junior engineers across global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware problems, order and replace parts, and resolve FDC mismatches.
• Follow documented procedures, test and diagnose equipment, and manage service cases based on CE KPIs.
• Participate in daily pass‑down meetings, on‑call rotations, and de‑installation activities.
• Collaborate with Germany CE teams, local PSE teams, and provide coaching to junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (hardware‑related preferred).
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• TOEIC score of 550 + and at least 2 years of TSMC fab experience (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Basic mechanical aptitude in pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics.
• Familiarity with hand tools and digital multimeters.
