Data Analyst Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Data Analyst Assistant to support a data migration project for a leading German infrastructure group. The role is fully remote and focuses on cleaning, organizing, and preparing large volumes of operational data and maintenance records for import into a custom‑built management system.

Key responsibilities

• Review and clean data from scattered spreadsheets, identifying duplicates and fixing formatting errors.
• Map fields from legacy spreadsheets to new PostgreSQL tables.
• Write simple SQL queries to verify data migration progress.
• Produce basic reports and visualisations that track migration status.
• Communicate data inconsistencies to developers and the project team during daily check‑ins.

Required profile

• High comfort with spreadsheets and advanced Excel functions.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive, precision‑focused tasks.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of database concepts and data structures.

Required skills

• Excel (including advanced functions and data sorting).
• SQL for querying PostgreSQL databases.
• PostgreSQL (basic table mapping and data verification).
