Data Engineer – Build Scalable Data Pipelines

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Data Engineer to join our fast‑growing B2B SaaS AI startup in Berlin. You will design, develop and maintain the data infrastructure that powers our analytics platform for apparel brands, enabling them to reduce returns and improve sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain efficient data pipelines for seamless data integration and processing.
• Build and monitor dashboards, data models and analytics outputs.
• Develop and optimise data infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with clients to understand data requirements and provide technical support.
• Ensure data quality, consistency and security across all sources.
• Troubleshoot complex data challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and continuously improve data processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, preferably in a startup or fast‑paced environment.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and data modelling.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and deliver results.
• Fast learner with a proactive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
