DevOps & Developer Infrastructure Engineer (Contract, Munich)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps and Developer Infrastructure Engineer to join our secure communications software team in Munich on a contract basis. The role is hands‑on within an agile Scrum team, focusing on building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating releases and supporting the regulated software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts to increase release speed, reliability and repeatability.
• Write code and scripts (primarily Python) for build and release processes.
• Own and deliver Scrum team work packages within agreed timelines and cost targets.
• Collaborate with other development teams on CI/CD topics and share expertise.
• Conduct code reviews and promote continuous improvement.
• Monitor technology trends and propose enhancements to the toolchain and processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or equivalent.
• Several years of professional experience in software development and DevOps.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems.
• Fluent German (C1/C2) and English (B2+).
• EU or NATO nationality required.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Git and GitLab for version control and CI/CD.
• Docker containerisation.
• CMake build system.
• Grafana for monitoring.
• Experience with databases.
• Familiarity with Rust is a plus.

• Contract up to 24 months (AUG).
• Hybrid work model – up to 60 % remote.
• Salary up to €110,000 per year, negotiable.
