DevOps Engineer

About the role

Kiteworks is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join a small, collaborative team in Germany. You will help automate workflows, modernise infrastructure and keep our cloud platforms running smoothly while working closely with developers, QA and security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Automate build, release and infrastructure tasks to reduce manual effort.
• Manage AWS cloud resources and container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker) ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) for fast, continuous delivery.
• Collaborate with development, QA and security teams to troubleshoot and unblock issues.
• Drive modernization initiatives by evaluating new tools and approaches.
• Maintain secure cloud environments in line with ISO 27001 and data‑protection requirements.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in DevOps or software engineering.
• Strong programming skills, preferably Python; experience with Bash or Go is a plus.
• Comfortable writing scripts and building custom tools.
• Proficient with Linux command‑line and troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, IAM, networking, storage).
• Familiarity with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD concepts.
• Curious, adaptable and eager to learn new technologies.
