Director Global Quality (Thermal Solutions)

About the role

Wieland-Werke AG, a copper manufacturer active in eMobility, energy, data transfer, refrigeration and air conditioning, has created a new key leadership position: Director Global Quality (m/f/x) for its Thermal Solutions Business Unit in Ulm. The role shapes a globally aligned quality organization, sets international quality standards, drives the digital transformation of quality management and ensures consistent product quality across all manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the global quality strategy for the Thermal Solutions Business Unit and set a unified quality framework across international sites.
• Harmonize quality systems, processes and standards to build a scalable organization that supports international growth and the integration of newly acquired sites.
• Drive digital transformation by implementing modern Quality Management Systems (QMS) and data-driven performance management tools.
• Manage global quality KPIs, lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives and foster operational excellence.
• Work with manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and other functions to align quality standards.
• Ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle, support new product introductions, reduce scrap rates and improve customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Quality Management, Operations, Engineering or a comparable field.
• Extensive leadership experience in global quality management within an international manufacturing environment and in a matrix organization.
• Proven track record of leading international transformation and standardization initiatives and building global quality organizations.
• Fluent German and English; Italian or French is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel globally to work with manufacturing sites and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
