Director – New Ventures (Venture Creation & Startup Portfolio)

About the role

We are building a portfolio of independent companies across multiple industries and need a Director – New Ventures to lead the entire venture creation process, from opportunity identification to company launch and early growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify high‑potential market opportunities and whitespace across sectors.
• Develop venture theses, business models, and new company concepts.
• Conduct market research, commercial validation, and business case development.
• Lead ventures from concept through validation to launch, building business plans, operating models, and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Support early‑stage incubation, market entry, and initial scaling of portfolio companies.
• Build and manage a pipeline of new ventures and track performance metrics.
• Recruit and onboard venture CEOs and founding teams, defining founder profiles and mentoring early‑stage leaders.
• Develop the ecosystem around the portfolio by creating partnerships with founders, investors, operators, and industry experts.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience launching ventures, startups, or new business units.
• Proven track record taking ideas to market launch and supporting early growth.
• Experience building business models, operating plans, and recruiting founding teams.
• Background as a startup founder, venture studio professional, corporate new‑venture leader, or similar.
