Director of Global Programs – Lead Multi‑Country Initiatives

About the role

More in Common is seeking a Director of Global Programs to lead and expand its cross‑country initiatives. This senior position will shape the strategy, design, and delivery of multi‑national research and thought‑leadership projects that address political and social polarization in major democracies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the global program strategy in partnership with the CEO and country directors.
• Identify, design and manage multi‑country research, thought‑leadership and partnership programmes that are more impactful or fundable than isolated national efforts.
• Establish clear governance, resourcing and workload expectations for participating country teams.
• Lead fundraising activities and build on existing relationships with donors and international networks.
• Represent More in Common at conferences, roundtables and senior bilateral meetings, including acting on behalf of the CEO.
• Coordinate with country directors to align global programmes with national strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale, multi‑country programmes in a nonprofit or research environment.
• Strong strategic thinking, entrepreneurial mindset and ability to deliver results.
• Excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Demonstrated success in fundraising and securing external partnerships.
• Ability to communicate complex research insights to senior audiences.
