Environmental Health Safety Specialist

About the role

The Environmental Health Safety Specialist will provide professional HSEQ support to contracts in Germany, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations. You will act as the main point of contact for health, safety, environment and quality matters, helping to maintain and improve management systems across the assigned country.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver HSEQ guidance and support to European contracts, ensuring regulatory and company compliance.
• Oversee HSE statutory and SMS compliance, tracking and closing actions in a timely manner.
• Conduct inspections, audits and risk assessments, and support contracts in implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate incident, accident and QHSE data in relevant reporting tools.
• Support the development, review and improvement of management systems at contract and site level.
• Advise on country‑specific safety and compliance topics and ensure alignment with local laws.
• Lead and develop team members, allocating work and ensuring high‑quality delivery.

Required profile

• Fluent English and German at C1 level.
• Proven experience in health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) support.
• Strong knowledge of German HSE regulations and industry best practices.
• Ability to coordinate action plans, monitor KPIs and report progress.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
