Export Compliance Manager – Bremen

About the role

As the Export Compliance Manager for Airbus Defence and Space in Bremen, you will lead the end‑to‑end export control process, ensuring that every product development step complies with national and international regulations. You will act as the key point of contact for export‑related matters across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Manage export compliance activities for the Bremen site, covering hardware, software and technology transfers.
• Maintain a permanent tracking system for export issues throughout product development.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable export control laws, including EAR, ITAR and EU regulations.
• Prepare and submit export documentation in cooperation with Logistics and Customs to obtain timely clearances.
• Maintain and update the list of products, equipment and components subject to export restrictions.
• Process national export licence requests and monitor US re‑export regulations.
• Implement the Sanctioned Country Process and Secure Hiring Process.
• Continuously improve export‑compliance processes, issue internal directives and provide training.

Required profile

• University degree (e.g., law, international trade, engineering or related field).
• Proven experience in export compliance or export control within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of EU, US (EAR, ITAR) and other relevant export regulations.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
