External Communications Manager – Global Gas Services

About the role

As an External Communications Manager you will join the global Gas Services Communications team at Siemens Energy. You will shape and share the division’s story across international markets, creating compelling content that highlights business priorities, thought leadership and executive positioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic external communication initiatives aligned with business priorities and brand visibility.
• Create high‑quality content for articles, speeches, presentations, social media and thought‑leadership pieces.
• Translate complex business and technical topics into clear, audience‑focused narratives.
• Collaborate with regional and global communications teams and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging.
• Support communication plans, campaigns and external visibility initiatives while spotting opportunities from market and media trends.
• Drive communication activities independently in an international environment with strong stakeholder management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in external communications, journalism, thought leadership or speechwriting.
• Excellent written and verbal English with strong storytelling and strategic messaging abilities.
• Strong research and analytical capabilities and a good understanding of media, digital and social media landscapes.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and international cross‑functional teams in a structured, collaborative manner.
• Curiosity, creativity, ownership and a passion for shaping impactful stories; experience in multinational organisations or the energy sector is a plus.
