Full Stack Software Engineer - Billing Team

About the role

The Billing Engineering team at ClickHouse is building the core billing and metering platform for ClickHouse Cloud. As a Full Stack Software Engineer you will work on both frontend and backend components, delivering mission‑critical services that keep the business running and ensure accurate, compliant billing for thousands of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the billing and metering platform that powers ClickHouse Cloud.
• Build secure, efficient, and highly available frameworks that abstract infrastructure complexity.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define business strategies, user needs, and optimal technical solutions.
• Integrate with external systems such as payment processors, usage metering services, logging, monitoring, and support tools.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scope projects, from architecture to production operation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, primarily building front‑end systems that run in the cloud.
• Proven track record of leading and shipping large‑scale technical projects in collaboration with multiple engineers.
• Experience with billing concepts such as credit‑card processing, usage‑based billing, metering, CSP marketplaces, invoicing, sales tax, and audit trails.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate high‑scale, distributed systems throughout the full software lifecycle.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
