Full-Stack Software Engineer (TypeScript)

About the role

We are building a tax‑automation platform that enables fintechs, banks and tax advisors to add powerful tax features with minimal code. As a Full‑Stack Software Engineer (TypeScript) you will help shape the core of this platform, working across the stack to deliver high‑impact features for European users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and scale the platform’s backend and frontend from the ground up.
• Make architectural decisions for RESTful and GraphQL APIs, authentication, and event‑driven components.
• Deliver new product features quickly while maintaining code quality, reliability and performance.
• Contribute to a collaborative engineering culture and mentor junior team members as the team grows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of full‑time software engineering experience.
• Strong autonomy and ownership, able to take projects from concept to production.
• Preference for focused coding time over excessive meetings.
• Motivation to work in a well‑funded early‑stage startup building core product components.

Required skills

• Backend: Nest.js or Express.js, RESTful/GraphQL API design, JWT, OAuth2, Kafka, WebSockets.
• Frontend: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Redux or Zustand, TailwindCSS or Styled Components.
• Database: PostgreSQL, schema design, query optimisation, Prisma ORM.
• Cloud & DevOps (nice to have): Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Functions), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
