Guest Professor – Shipping & Logistics (MBA)

About the role

We are seeking a Guest Professor to join our Business Faculty and teach MBA modules in Shipping and Logistics starting 01.06.2026. The position can be full‑time or part‑time and focuses on delivering practical, future‑oriented education to a diverse, international student body.

Key responsibilities

• Teach MBA courses covering Maritime and Shipping Management, Maritime Logistics and Operations, and Shipping Finance and Economics.
• Plan and execute interdisciplinary research and development projects.
• Advise, supervise, and grade student work, including seminars, projects, and theses.
• Develop industry collaborations and contribute to university committees and curriculum design.
• Participate in outreach activities and advise prospective students.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• Doctorate or strong scientific publication record.
• At least three years of professional experience, with two years outside academia.
• Experience teaching maritime‑related subjects at the MBA level.
• National and international work experience; fluency in English (German is a plus).

Required skills

• Subject‑matter expertise in maritime logistics, shipping management, or shipping finance.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging academic modules.
• Research and publication experience.
