Head of Operations Europe – Import, Export & Customer Service

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Operations for Europe to lead import, export and customer service activities for a leading medical equipment manufacturer. Based in Frankfurt, you will oversee more than 20 customer service teams and ensure seamless delivery of finished goods across the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and continuously optimise European logistics processes, ensuring compliance with national and international regulations.
• Oversee timely processing of export orders and coordinate with hospitals and B2B partners.
• Lead the customer service function, supervising 20+ team members and two team leaders.
• Collaborate with country subsidiaries, specialist departments and internal stakeholders on demo units and service requests.
• Drive digitisation and process improvement initiatives to support international growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience leading large logistics, supply‑chain or customer‑service teams.
• Proven track record of streamlining and digitising operational processes.
• Hands‑on experience with import and export procedures, invoicing and customs compliance.
• Fluent English and German nationality, with the legal right to work in Germany.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP.
