Head of Simplification Division (Luxembourg)

About the role

The European Investment Bank is seeking a senior leader to head its Simplification Division at the Luxembourg headquarters. You will drive the Bank’s agenda to streamline internal processes, reduce complexity and improve staff experience, supporting the EIB Group’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and steer the strategic direction of the Simplification Division, ensuring alignment with the Bank’s reform agenda.
• Identify, prioritize and monitor simplification initiatives across the Group, focusing on high‑impact opportunities.
• Develop structured approaches to capture and assess simplification ideas, ensuring transparency and consistency.
• Mobilise internal and external resources to deliver initiatives on time and with high quality.
• Collaborate with Directorates, Services and senior management to embed simplification efforts within broader operational activities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in leading large‑scale change or process‑improvement programmes, preferably in a financial or public‑sector environment.
• Strong understanding of organisational efficiency, governance and strategic alignment.
• Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and influence decision‑making.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of building collaborative teams.
