Junior Full‑Stack Software Engineer – Shipping Team

About the role

eBay is expanding its engineering hub in Germany and is looking for a Junior Full‑Stack Software Engineer to join the Global Shipping team in Dreilinden, near Berlin. You will help design and build modern shipping products that serve millions of buyers and sellers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full‑stack solutions for eBay shipping experiences.
• Implement backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build frontend applications with React.js or similar frameworks.
• Translate product requirements into technical designs, documentation, and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering partners to deliver high‑quality features.
• Write clean, well‑documented code and conduct code reviews.
• Develop unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests and address performance bottlenecks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Basic understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Interest in modern frontend frameworks such as React.js.
