Managing Director – Germany (Technology Communications)

About the role

The Managing Director will lead the German office of a globally recognised technology communications consultancy. Reporting to European and global leadership, the role is responsible for business growth, client development and commercial performance in Germany.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a growth strategy for Germany aligned with European and global objectives.
• Own full P&L responsibility and drive commercial performance.
• Generate new business through senior‑level networks across technology, media and business communities.
• Expand existing client relationships with strategic counsel, cross‑selling and long‑term partnership development.
• Represent the agency publicly in the German market and position it beyond traditional PR.
• Broaden the service offering to include influencer marketing, content production, paid social, AI and data‑driven communications.
• Lead senior client relationships as a trusted adviser to local and international brands.
• Motivate, develop and nurture a high‑performing team of around 25 professionals.

Required profile

• Strong leadership experience within a communications, PR or consulting agency.
• Proven track record in business development, revenue growth and client expansion.
• Deep knowledge of the German communications market and technology sector.
• Confidence managing P&L, commercial forecasting and complex stakeholder relationships.
• High energy, entrepreneurial drive and a hands‑on leadership style.
• Fluency in German and English.
