Ocean Import Operator – Global Freight Forwarder

About the role

We are seeking an Ocean Import Operator to join our leading global freight forwarding group in Düsseldorf. The position offers a modern hybrid working model with up to three days per week of home office, providing flexibility while working within a high‑performing international team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end ocean import shipments, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and internal departments to optimise transit times and costs.
• Monitor shipment status, resolve issues, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation and data entry in the company’s logistics systems.

Required profile

• Experience in ocean freight import operations, at any level.
• Strong organisational and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment and collaborate across borders.
