Operations Manager – Logistics (m/f/d) – Gera

About the role

Amazon’s Operations team is the engine that ensures orders are fulfilled and dispatched on time. As an Operations Manager in Gera you will lead a group of Area Managers, shape the operational plan for your shift and drive safety, quality and productivity across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of Area Managers.
• Lead operational teams on a shift, resolve issues and influence site performance.
• Analyse shift performance against business objectives and implement improvement actions.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Health & Safety, Security and other support functions.
• Design and deliver initiatives to boost operational excellence.
• Mentor and coach managers, fostering a high‑performing leadership culture.

Required profile

• A university degree.
• Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management.
• Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English; intermediate proficiency in German.
• Experience using data or evidence to influence business decisions.
• Background in production, supply‑chain or logistics operations.
• Preferred: experience with Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen methodologies.
