Product Manager – Operations Systems

About the role

rebuy, a pioneer in the sustainable reuse of electronics and media, is looking for a Product Manager to own the internal, backend-heavy products behind its operations. The team focuses on the systems that run the flow of every item sold: inbound processing, grading and quality control, fulfillment and returns. Users are warehouse operators, graders, pickers and operations leads, and the customers are buyers and sellers. The role is based in Berlin with a hybrid model, with regular presence at the operations sites in Rudow.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the domain product roadmap: turn ops strategy (throughput, unit cost, quality, lead time) into a 6-12 month roadmap with the Strategy Manager and Ops Product Lead, and make documented trade-off decisions with ops leaders.
• Spend time at the warehouse mapping processes and data flows end-to-end to find system gaps and unmet needs early.
• Analyze KPIs, pull data and avoid measurement traps, and link feature changes to unit economics improvements.
• Specify business rules, edge cases, data models, state transitions, integrations and failure modes for engineering.
• Sequence releases safely using pilots, feature flags, parallel runs, change management and pre-defined metrics.
• Work with engineering on technical decisions, integrations and data migrations, and negotiate scope and time-to-market.
• Build stakeholder buy-in by aligning ops, CS, tech, finance and leadership on shared metrics through clear written communication.

Required profile

• 3+ years of product management experience, focused on backend, internal, workflow or operational products (warehouse, logistics, supply chain, fulfillment, order management, inventory, marketplace operations, fintech back-office or similar).
• Detail-oriented, able to read data before forming an opinion and to catch problems before they reach production.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering on technical decisions and to negotiate scope and timing.
• Fluent English and German.

Required skills

• Hands-on data skills: building analyses, defining metrics rigorously and spotting misleading numbers.
• Systems thinking: mapping multi-step processes and data flows, identifying bottlenecks and second-order effects.
• Writing precise specifications covering business rules, edge cases, data models and failure modes.
• Comfort using AI tools (e.g. Claude, Copilot) for analysis, writing and prototyping.
