Project Manager Offshore Automation

About the role

As a Project Manager for Offshore Automation you will lead complex international automation projects from tender through engineering, execution, testing, commissioning and hand‑over to the customer. You are responsible for delivering projects on schedule, within budget and with the required quality while driving standardisation and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• End‑to‑end ownership of offshore automation sub‑projects, including cost, schedule, quality, risk and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate stakeholders across customers, engineering, commissioning, suppliers, consortium partners and international project teams.
• Manage contractual, technical and commercial requirements to ensure compliance and successful delivery.
• Proactively govern project risks, opportunities, claims, changes and deviations throughout the lifecycle.
• Implement standardized, modular automation solutions to improve efficiency, scalability and profitability.
• Drive continuous improvement using digital tools, data‑driven transparency, AI‑supported methods and standardized processes.

Required profile

• Technical degree or equivalent professional qualification in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering or related field, or extensive project‑management experience.
• Project Management certification (e.g., PM@Siemens, IPMA) with proven experience in complex technical projects in automation, energy, infrastructure or offshore sectors.
• Strong background in international project management with multiple stakeholders and demanding customers.
• Excellent English communication, high mobility and a collaborative, forward‑thinking mindset.
