Python Developer – Remote (up to $50/hr)

About the role

Mercur is seeking an experienced Python Developer to join its remote team. You will work on building MCP servers and integrating applications for cutting‑edge AI research platforms, enjoying a fully remote setup and a competitive hourly rate.

Key responsibilities

• Develop MCP servers in Python using FastMCP.
• Integrate web or desktop applications into RL Studio.
• Work with APIs, Docker, Linux environments, and service configuration.
• Implement populate/snapshot hooks for application state management.
• Test applications locally and debug build, runtime, and permission issues.
• Ensure applications meet platform validation and deployment requirements.

Required profile

• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with APIs, backend systems, and debugging.
• Familiarity with Docker, Linux, and local testing workflows.
• Ability to work with configuration files and deployment pipelines.
• Attention to technical detail and problem‑solving abilities.
