Senior Communications Specialist – Global Communications

About the role

Proxima Fusion is seeking a senior communications professional to lead its global media and corporate communication efforts. Based in Munich, you will shape how the company’s breakthrough fusion projects are presented to investors, policymakers, journalists and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day media relations in Germany and internationally, acting as the primary contact for all press enquiries.
• Develop and execute high‑impact media opportunities around engineering milestones, strategic partnerships and political developments.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with journalists covering business, technology, science and politics across key markets.
• Craft interview briefings, opinion pieces and executive messaging that position Proxima’s leadership as thought‑leaders in the fusion sector.
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate corporate priorities into integrated communication campaigns that support financing, public debate and brand visibility.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading global communications or media relations for a technology‑focused organization.
• Strong strategic judgement combined with the ability to execute precise, creative storytelling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in German is a plus.
• Track record of securing media coverage for complex, high‑tech projects.
