Senior Frontend Engineer

About the role

Makersite is building a platform for sustainable product development and digital collaboration. As a Senior Frontend Engineer you will help shape the future of sustainable product development by delivering intuitive, reliable user experiences across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain frontend features using Angular, ensuring high‑quality user experiences.
• Own the Angular codebase, drive its technical direction, and establish architectural standards.
• Develop and maintain shared UI components, design systems and component libraries for consistency and accessibility.
• Implement automated unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests (Playwright) and ensure code quality.
• Investigate and resolve bugs, optimise performance and continuously improve existing functionality.
• Collaborate with product owners, backend engineers and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Several years of professional frontend development experience with strong hands‑on expertise in Angular (v17+).
• Comfortable with Angular Signals API, RxJS, observable patterns and modern Angular practices.
• Experience making frontend architectural decisions and establishing coding standards.
• Ability to work independently, manage workload and take ownership from implementation through release.
• Clear communicator who works effectively with product owners, engineers and other stakeholders.
• Legally permitted to work within the EU or UK.
