Senior Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

Westwing is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join its Web & API team in Munich. You will own end‑to‑end development of the e‑commerce storefront, from specification and architecture through delivery, monitoring and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain full‑stack features across the storefront and mobile API, from spec to production release.
• Integrate with e‑commerce, headless CMS, search, analytics and experimentation platforms.
• Develop AI‑powered user‑facing features and guide AI coding agents, ensuring correctness, security and maintainability.
• Own caching, rendering and performance strategy for both web and mobile interfaces.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to translate business goals into high‑quality user experiences.
• Champion code quality through testing, code reviews and robust conventions.

Required profile

• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript and modern frontend development.
• Strong architectural judgment and ability to turn ambiguous requests into precise, testable specifications.
• Focus on performance across the stack, including server‑side rendering and GraphQL data fetching.
• Rigorous approach to code verification and production readiness.
• Experience directing and reviewing output from AI coding agents.
• Product‑driven mindset linking technical decisions to business impact.
• Fluent English communication skills.
