Senior Infrastructure DevOps Engineer (Remote, Germany)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the cloud platform behind a mission‑critical SaaS product used worldwide. Reporting to the Cloud DevOps Team Leader, you will drive architecture, reliability and automation while working fully remote from Germany.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and scale secure, cost‑optimized cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Define and enforce infrastructure standards, technical direction and long‑term strategy.
• Own uptime, SLAs, incident management and lead post‑incident reviews.
• Develop monitoring, alerting and observability frameworks.
• Advance Infrastructure‑as‑Code maturity, CI/CD pipelines and deployment reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and security teams to enable platform capabilities.

Required profile

• 5‑8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE or infrastructure engineering.
• Proven ownership of complex production systems and strong systems thinking.
• Ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams.
• Experience mentoring engineers and shaping best practices.

Required skills

• Deep expertise with AWS and cloud architecture.
• Strong Infrastructure‑as‑Code experience (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and container platforms at scale.
• CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
• Knowledge of high‑availability SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
