Senior Manager – New Markets Expansion

About the role

As a Senior Manager for New Markets at Westwing, you will lead the expansion of the company’s footprint into new countries, reporting to the VP New Markets. Based in Munich, you will define go‑to‑market strategies, launch new markets and drive their commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute expansion strategies, including market sizing, competitor analysis, positioning and business case modelling.
• Own the commercial and go‑to‑market plan for each new market – assortment, pricing, brand positioning, local marketing and launch timeline.
• Lead cross‑functional workstreams to achieve launch readiness, coordinating with sourcing, operations, customs, legal, tax and tech teams.
• Set up and monitor KPI dashboards post‑launch, analyse performance drivers and continuously improve the growth playbook.
• Conduct customer surveys to ensure flawless experience from day one and present recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in business building, strategy or consulting, preferably with a commercial or marketing focus in consumer/lifestyle businesses.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking, capable of building financial models and solving ambiguous problems.
• Hands‑on, ownership mindset with the ability to drive initiatives from analysis through implementation.
• Excellent project‑management skills, managing complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.
• Fluent English communication; German is a plus.
