Senior Mobile Engineer (Food Tracking)

About the role

Yazio is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join the Food Tracking squad. You will help shape the core experience of a nutrition app used by millions, focusing on daily food tracking, AI‑driven insights, and deep personalization.

Key responsibilities

• Own features end‑to‑end, from technical design to production deployment.
• Lead the migration of complex domain logic to a Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) codebase while continuing feature delivery.
• Integrate scalable AI‑powered features in collaboration with the backend team.
• Partner closely with product managers, designers, and analysts to define roadmap and technical trade‑offs.
• Mentor other engineers, conduct thoughtful code reviews, and improve team processes.

• Seasoned mobile engineer passionate about user impact.
• Expert in modern mobile development with a strong track record of end‑to‑end feature delivery.
• Comfortable adopting AI tools and integrating AI‑driven features.
• Pragmatic, able to prioritize work and maintain high code quality under fast‑paced conditions.
• Obsessed with product experience and driven by metrics.
