Senior People Generalist

About the role

This senior‑level position supports a remote‑first, globally distributed organization in Germany. The People Generalist will blend advisory work with managers and employees while owning end‑to‑end People Operations, data, and employee experience across the full lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with managers on employee relations, coaching, team dynamics and performance conversations.
• Support the Head of People on complex cases and independently handle standard employee‑relations matters.
• Own onboarding, off‑boarding, HR systems, compliance and benefits administration.
• Introduce automation, AI tools and scalable processes to improve People workflows.
• Manage internal communications about policies, programs and organizational changes.
• Lead performance‑cycle operations, including setup, timelines, tracking and completion.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports that deliver actionable People insights.
• Drive employee‑engagement initiatives such as surveys, analysis and improvement recommendations.
• Assist recruiting operations when needed, ensuring a smooth candidate experience.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of experience in HR Generalist, HRBP or hybrid People Operations roles.
• Strong knowledge of employee‑relations and basic employment‑law principles.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑moving, distributed environments.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• High ownership, accountability and ability to balance empathy with decisive judgment.

Required skills

• Advanced spreadsheet proficiency (e.g., Excel).
• Hands‑on experience with AI tools in HR workflows.
• Experience managing HR systems and People Operations end‑to‑end.
