Senior Product Analyst

About the role

As a Senior Product Analyst in Customer Care Tech, you will drive the analytical engine behind Zalando’s AI‑first product strategy. You will design evaluation frameworks for non‑deterministic AI systems, run rigorous experiments, and translate insights into business impact and customer trust.

Key responsibilities

• Define AI evaluation and product metrics in partnership with Product Managers and Applied Scientists.
• Design, execute and analyse high‑stakes A/B tests, applying quasi‑experimental and causal inference methods when randomisation is not possible.
• Transform ambiguous product ideas into testable hypotheses and quantitative research questions.
• Analyse end‑to‑end user behaviour to identify friction points, causal drivers of satisfaction and automation opportunities.
• Advise senior leadership with clear, executive‑level narratives and actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven track record in product analytics for large‑scale e‑commerce or product‑led tech environments.
• Deep expertise in end‑to‑end A/B testing, metric sensitivity, statistical power calculations and modern experimentation platforms (e.g., Eppo).
• Hands‑on experience with observational and quasi‑experimental methods such as Difference‑in‑Differences, Propensity Score Matching or Synthetic Controls.
• Strong ability to communicate complex statistical concepts to cross‑functional peers and senior leaders.
