Senior Project Engineer – Renewable Energy

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering and grid‑connection activities for utility‑scale solar PV and battery energy storage projects across Germany. You will work in a fast‑growing renewable‑energy developer, shaping technical standards and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead grid‑connection activities and manage technical interfaces with grid operators, certification bodies and other stakeholders.
• Oversee electrical design and engineering of solar PV and BESS projects, including cable systems, substations, transformer stations, inverters and related infrastructure.
• Plan, tender and deliver electrical infrastructure works, ensuring safety, schedule adherence and budget compliance.
• Provide technical leadership on all electrical engineering and grid‑related matters throughout development and construction phases.
• Support optimisation of engineering standards, project execution processes and technical best practices across the organisation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in project engineering, electrical design, grid connection or renewable‑energy infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of medium‑voltage systems and German grid‑connection requirements.
• Fluency in German and English.
