Senior Security Engineer – Product & Platform Security

About the role

Wire is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join its Information Security team. You will help protect the company’s end‑to‑end encrypted communication platform, working on both product and platform security while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Review security‑ and privacy‑critical changes, propose and implement mitigations.
• Maintain product security documentation and support certifications.
• Communicate security topics with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide security guidance during feature development to identify pitfalls early.
• Participate in internal security audits, risk assessments, and threat‑modeling workshops.
• Conduct security awareness training for your area of responsibility.
• Own platform security controls and support technical due diligence for compliance.
• Oversee incident management processes and coordinate response teams.
• Maintain documentation of security and privacy processes.
• Support identity and access management and drive SecOps measures for the platform.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of product security experience.
• Proficient understanding of security‑focused cloud architecture and networks.
• Hands‑on experience with large‑scale cloud platforms, especially AWS.
• Experience with highly concurrent systems and related tooling.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
