Site Reliability Engineer - Developer Platform

About the role

Exoscale, a Swiss/European cloud service provider offering virtual machines and S3-compatible object storage, is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer for its Developer Platform. The role focuses on the internal Kubernetes PaaS and managed service ecosystem, covering tooling development, platform development and maintenance, and application delivery pipelines. It is open to candidates based in Spain, Germany or working remotely within the EU.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain the internal Kubernetes developer platform.
• Contribute to internal platform tooling, automation and orchestration development.
• Develop and maintain SKS and its upcoming new features.
• Enhance developer experience by delivering self-service systems and pipelines.
• Take part in the architecture and design of Exoscale's platform systems.
• Improve processes for scalability, security and high availability.
• Participate in code and change reviews.
• Help the support team manage escalated support tickets.
• Join the on-call rotation after a training period.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Golang (mandatory).
• Familiarity with Linux and large-scale configuration management.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and its ecosystem; knowledge of Clojure is a plus.
• Passion for product design, software architecture and automation.
• Team player who thrives in a distributed team and is curious and autonomous.
• Strong written and spoken English.
