Social Media Manager – NHL Deutschland

About the role

IMG is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead the day‑to‑day community management of the NHL Deutschland channels. You will drive growth, engagement and excitement among German fans aged 18‑30, delivering high‑quality content in German across X, Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

Key responsibilities

• Ideate, create and publish daily content for NHL Deutschland on X, Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp through the 2026/27 season.
• Collaborate with the IMG NHL social team and the NHL International Social Media Lead to ensure entertaining, year‑round content.
• Report on games promptly (live updates and early‑morning summaries) and cover key events such as the Stanley Cup Final.
• Engage with the community, answer localized queries and refer complex issues as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local influencers and creators to expand the fan base.
• Execute the weekly social media content calendar and contribute ideas during internal content calls.
• Monitor all relevant social media activity and help promote league initiatives, commercial messaging and events.
• Work flexible hours to provide adequate coverage of the NHL regular season and postseason.

Required profile

• Fluent in German with excellent written communication skills.
• Proven experience managing social media communities for a sports or entertainment brand.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and evenings, to match game schedules.
• Strong network‑building skills with influencers and creators in Germany.
