Software Developer – Web Development Team

About the role

JetBrains is looking for a Software Developer to join its Web Development team. You will own end‑to‑end services, from architecture and implementation to deployment and long‑term support, helping power the company’s global web ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop internal, company‑wide web applications and services.
• Participate in solution architecture, selecting approaches, decomposing services and defining interactions.
• Build and maintain services running in AWS and Kubernetes‑based environments.
• Develop tools and platforms for localization workflows and integrate third‑party systems.
• Improve reliability, scalability and observability of existing systems.
• Collaborate with other teams to evolve shared infrastructure and internal platforms.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of backend web development experience using Kotlin or Java.
• Experience with Node.js and modern backend frameworks such as Ktor and Spring.
• Proven ability to design and build production‑grade systems.
• Understanding of distributed‑system fundamentals (networking, fault tolerance, scalability).
• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS or similar) and container orchestration.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
