Software Engineer – AI Workflows

About the role

EnOcean is looking for a hands‑on Software Engineer to develop AI algorithms and automated AI workflows that power its battery‑less IoT sensors and data platforms. The role is based in either Munich, Germany or Utrecht, the Netherlands and is open to students, recent graduates and early‑career engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve AI models that turn sensor data into actionable insights.
• Build and maintain automated AI‑driven workflows that reduce manual effort across the organisation.
• Integrate AI capabilities into core business systems such as CRM, ERP, HR and ticketing tools.
• Prototype quickly, evaluate solutions and scale successful prototypes into shared infrastructure.

Required profile

• Passion for AI and IoT technologies with a practical, builder mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with process owners across the company.
• Willingness to present a personal AI project that demonstrates end‑to‑end development.

Required skills

• Strong scripting in Python.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience automating workflows and connecting tools via APIs.
• Solid understanding of AI models, data handling and trade‑off reasoning.
