Software Engineer – Eurofighter Simulation

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is developing high‑fidelity Eurofighter engineering and training simulators. As a Software Engineer you will design, develop and integrate simulation models that represent aircraft equipment, working within an international team based in Manching, Germany.

Key responsibilities

• Derive system requirements from operational needs for new simulator functionalities.
• Design software architecture for new simulation modules.
• Develop and unit‑test simulation models, primarily in C++ (Ada optional).
• Create tools to improve development processes, such as code generators.
• Integrate models into the aircraft simulation environment (C++/Ada) and perform integration testing.
• Document software modules and assume module responsibility for dedicated subsystems.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or a related field.
• More than 3 years of professional experience in software design, testing and integration.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong English communication skills.
