Software Engineer – Full-Stack (Employee Experience)

About the role

Join Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin team as a Full‑Stack Software Engineer focused on Employee Experience. You will help build highly scalable, modular products that support training, assessments, and compliance for thousands of factory employees.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers and factory stakeholders to design and implement full‑stack features.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for web and mobile clients, handling complex business logic.
• Design database schemas, perform migrations, and ensure data integrity across multiple skill levels.
• Translate real‑world factory workflows into scalable software solutions.
• Implement background job processing for data synchronization with external HR and training platforms.
• Improve system reliability through monitoring, error handling, and observability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and establish engineering standards.
• Gather user feedback and advocate for usability across all products.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong fundamentals in software design, algorithms, data structures, and code maintainability.
• Hands‑on experience building I/O‑intensive applications with Node.js.
• Experience creating and consuming well‑designed RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
