Technical Project Manager – Solar PV & BESS

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead the development of Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects in Germany. You will act as the bridge between engineering, project development and commercial teams, ensuring technical robustness, scalability and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Support Solar PV & BESS projects from concept to financial close.
• Validate technical feasibility, optimise system design and ensure compliance with standards.
• Prepare and manage RfQs for EPC tenders, identify risks and improve tender efficiency.
• Act as technical gatekeeper reviewing system designs, site constraints and technical documentation.
• Coordinate EPC tendering, contract negotiations and handover to construction teams.
• Provide continuous technical support to project developers and business development during due diligence.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related field.
• Experience in Solar PV project development or management, preferably with BESS exposure.
• Strong understanding of PV systems, grid‑connection requirements and energy storage integration.
• Experience in EPC tendering and technical evaluation.
• Structured, proactive mindset with strong stakeholder management.
• Fluent in German and English and willing to travel.
